The Dog Sitter Detective cover reveal
Having a ruff old time
BREAKING NEWS, as they say – just a quick newsletter to show you the newly-revealed and rather delightful cover for THE DOG SITTER DETECTIVE, the first book in my new murder mystery series, which goes on sale in May:
It’s designed and illustrated by the fantastic David Wardle (click here to see more of his work) and I love it. Even the saluki is accurate! 😂
Retired actress Guinevere ‘Gwinny’ Tuffel is finding life hard after inheriting her late father’s run-down home and discovering she’s broke. But Gwinny’s delighted to be at her best friend Tina’s country house, for Tina’s wedding to a handsome Italian business magnate... until the husband-to-be is found dead in the library and Tina is accused of the murder.
Convinced of her friend’s innocence, Gwinny must piece together the truth and uncover the real killer from a pool of larger-than-life suspects, who all have something to hide... while also looking after Tina’s expensive saluki dogs!
You can pre-order THE DOG SITTER DETECTIVE right now: go to https://dogsitterdetective.com for links to online retailers, or of course you can pre-order it at your local bookstore.
(And yes, this one will be available in both hardcopy and ebook in North America!)
Some people have already asked about an audiobook version, and I’m delighted to say that one is definitely planned… but that’s all I know right now. As soon as I have more information, I’ll let you know.
I’m already hard at work writing the second book, DEATH IN LITTLE VENICE, and if these first two do well, there could be many more to come. Fingers crossed, eh?
Oh, one more thing: you may have noticed a new title banner at the top of this email. My previous headshot was great for thrillers and suchlike, but everyone was worried I looked ‘too murderous’ for this new book! So now I have a new headshot, courtesy of photographer Sarah Walton. I’ve never looked more cosy in all my life 😂
