*** HARROGATE EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO SNOW FORECAST ***
Alas! One downside of living out here in hobbiton is that we get the brunt of the country's bad weather, and the Met Office is currently predicting some very bad weather for the coming week — on exactly the day when I was supposed to drive to Harrogate for the EXPHORIA CODE event. We've therefore decided to postpone, as there's a good chance I wouldn't even make it to the venue! We're very sorry, and we'll reschedule a new date (for which all extant tickets will of course be valid) very soon. More details: https://www.facebook.com/antonyjohnston/posts/10159920289195648

FUNKY FUNKO

On a brighter note, Funko recently revealed their 2018 line-up, and now I can finally tell you that June will bring a set of ATOMIC BLONDE pops! Two very cool versions of Lorraine Broughton, each with a 'chase' variant. I'm pretty sure this is the first ever figurine of a character I created, which is kind of wild. https://newtoynews.com/2018/02/16/toy-fair-new-york-reveals-funko-atomic-blonde/ WRITING

June will also see the release of a new, revised edition of STEALING LIFE, my 2007 novel for the shared-world Dreams of Inan series where magic and technology collide, from 2000AD publishers Rebellion. The series itself was sadly retired, so this new edition has been revised to remove the "Inan universe" references — but it's still a shared SF/fantasy world, as the entire plot revolves around a high-tech thief who's hired by a wizard to steal a magical amulet...
STEALING LIFE was my first real novel-length work (FRIGHTENING CURVES, much as I'm proud of it, barely even qualifies for NaNoWriMo) and I won't deny it's a curious beast. But now it has a lovely new cover, revisions to help it stand alone, and a new lease of life. Give it a whirl. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/178108520X/
PODCASTS

Brian LeTendre and I were joined by listener and Patreon supporter CJ Lines for the inaugural "Backstage Pass" episode of THRASH IT OUT, where we chat with a Patron about an album that holds a special place in their cold, metallic heart. CJ chose At The Gates' SLAUGHTER OF THE SOUL, and we had a really fun conversation. More of these bonus episodes to come, and if you want to be in with a chance of appearing on the show yourself, you know what to do... https://thrashitoutpodcast.com/episodes/3-11

The popular podcast THIS IS HORROR recently conducted a lengthy interview with me about writing, creativity, DEAD SPACE, how I fit social media into my writing schedule, and more. In fact, we rambled on for so long that it got split into two episodes...! Both are now available for everyone to listen. In horror, probably. http://www.thisishorror.co.uk/tih-191-antony-johnston-on-life-lessons-creativity-and-social-media-discipline/ http://www.thisishorror.co.uk/tih-192-antony-johnston-on-dead-space-atomic-blonde-writing-video-games-and-the-exphoria-code/ APPEARANCES
SAT MAR 3: Assuming the weather eases off by the weekend and I can actually get to Scotland (!!!) I'll be at DUNFERMLINE COMIC CON next Saturday. No idea of my table number, so just look for the banner with my name on it in big letters... https://www.facebook.com/DunfermlineComicCon
